I have lived from Coast to Coast, but I have always considered Minnesota "Home". My mother and I left our "City Jobs" to buy Cedar Bay Resort on Widow Lake in 1993. It didn't take long to feel like a local and I knew that the Hackensack area was where I would stay.

I married Mark from Mark's Market in 1997.
My Mom and I sold the resort in 2000 just before Mathias was born. Mark and I built a house
on some acreage between Hackensack
and Akeley. My Mom moved to a great house
in town right across the street from Birch Lake.
Matt now has idential twin sisters, Morgan
& Claire.

I feel that all of my past jobs have laid the groundwork for my success in real estate.
I spent 7 years after college in the video
production field where I gained in depth
experience in sales and marketing. I spent 8 summers as a resorter helping tourists make the most of their visits to Hackensack. I was
Community Education secretary for 7 years
where I learned about our School District and the many talented people in this area who are
willing to share their talents as Community Ed teachers. I spent almost a decade on the
Board of the Chamber of Commerce filling numerous positions including President. I was instrumental in the construction of the Visitor's Center which proudly serves our visitors year
round. I took a break from my duties on the Chamber board when my twins were born premature in June of 2004. After a year of staying home with the girls, I decided it was time for a career change and chose real estate for the next chapter in my professional life.
